Donnie Darko To Be Released On Blu-Ray
The cult masterpiece that is Donnie Darko has had the DVD treatment but as of February 10th, 2009 it will also get the Blu-Ray treatment; and of course all the major online rental services will get the disc at a similar time.
Fox Home Entertainment have announced the Blu-ray Disc will hit US shelves for a recommended price of $34.99.
For those that have yet to witness the giant metal bunny rabbit, Donnie Darko is a 2001 cult classic psychological thriller film written and directed by Richard Kelly, and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, and Mary McDonnell. The film depicts the reality-bending venture of the eponymous character as he seeks the meaning and significance of his troubling end-of-the-world visions. That involve a giant metal rabbit!
